Starved Rock Meditation Hike - St. Louis Canyon
Friday, December 6, 2019
8:30 am
Cost: free
Guide: Rose-Marie Lowe
The Plan:
Meet at the St. Louis Canyon parking lot.
Hike will begin promptly at 8:30am. If you’re running late, feel free to catch up with us along the trail.
We’ll hike to the Canyon. In the canyon I'll lead a short prayer. We’ll sit in quiet meditation for 15 minutes. I'll end the meditation with some drumming/singing. Then we'll hike back out.
We’ll go rain or shine.
Suggestions:
wear shoes that can get wet and muddy
wear comfortable and warm clothing
bring something to sit or lie on (towel, small blanket, yoga mat), and a water bottle
The trail is fairly flat with some short runs of stairs. Total hiking distance is 1.2 miles.
